It’s such a Blessing to be alive to celebrate another birthday and I had a marvelous time doing just that this year! If you follow me on social media, you were able to take a glimpse into my 3 day celebration. My birthday was on January 26th-this is also Bessie Coleman’s birthday! So, that was Day 1 and I started my day at my new CrossFit gym and my husband so graciously joined me!
I showered, changed, and went to the spa to enjoy a massage and a pedicure-gifted by my fabulous husband! I decided to skip out on a birthday cake or cupcakes this year, so we just ordered some take-out and I opened my cards and gifts. I can’t even begin to tell you how this year’s gifts brought me to tears….you just have no idea how much I was Blessed!
I celebrated Day 2 by spending it at Graceful Glow Spa with my youngest sister, Abra. I received a facial and she’s responsible for my gorgeous eyebrows. If you live in Atlanta or you’re just visiting, it’s a must that you make an appointment with her for all of your eyebrow, waxing, mink eyelash, and skincare needs!
OMG…Day 3!! I’d been looking forward to this part of my birthday for weeks! I decided that this year I would have a birthday dinner and invite only married couples. I wanted my guests to experience something different, so I decided to have the dinner at a Vegan restaurant! My husband and I checked it out for lunch the week prior and it was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! So, I spent most of the day preparing for the evening. I needed to find a top and a pair of shoes to go with my fabulous skirt that I purchased HERE so I ended up having to go to the mall. Once I got back home, I got everything situated with the kids because the babysitter was on her way. If you know anything about me, you know that I don’t wear makeup. I wanted to look a little more glamorous than I normally do everyday (LOL) so makeup artist, Yasmine, showed up and showed out!
I hope you enjoy the pictures from my birthday dinner because we had a great time of friendship, fellowship, love and laughter!
The guests are beginning to arrive!
Hmmm…What in the world should we order?
Good times during dinner!
A few pictures with the love of my life!
And you know we couldn’t end the night without a group selfie!
While writing this blog post and going through the photos that I would share with you, I became so full because I truly am so very abundantly Blessed. I want to publicly thank everyone that helped me celebrate my 43rd birthday, whether you were near or far! I’m grateful for you and I’m so lucky to have you as a part of my life! Until next time…………
