Polka Dot Maxi Dress Using Simplicity 8123 + Pattern Review

Happy Friday! I love maxi dresses and when I saw Mimi G do a pattern hack on this particular pattern, I knew that I would make and love this dress! I made it last summer before attending the MIMI G conference in Los Angeles and I wore it in the fashion show. It’s so comfortable and it’s perfect for the warm days ahead. I can see a few more of these in my near future! I’ve included a pattern review below and I pray each and every one of you have a Blessed, safe and wonderful weekend!

Pattern Description: Misses dress S8123

Pattern Sizing: I cut the size 10 top and graded to a size 12 at the bottom.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?  Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes and there’s also a sew along video

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?  I liked everything about this pattern.

Fabric used: Stretch poplin

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I’m small up top so I had to take it in about 2 inches and I lengthened it with instructions found HERE.

Would you sew it again? Absolutely!
