I started this series in 2020 and if you missed part one, you can read about it HERE. My main objective of doing this series is to highlight incredible business owners that are black women. Like the first series, I interviewed four incredible women and I know all of them personally. Below, you will find the link to each individual interview and their contact information. Follow me on Instagram @stephaniergrant for February’s (part 3) Black Women in Business Series that is currently in progress.

Chelsea Brunson

I interviewed Chelsea’s mom, Cassandra Brunson, during my first series. Chelsea is well on her way to becoming one of the youngest, most successful entrepreneur’s of her time. She is the owner of Brunswick Candle Company. The company’s goal is to inspire people to grow and live thier best life one burn at a time. I really like that Chelsea develops different candle scents and collections for every season. Renee Floyd

Renee and I have known each other for over 20 years. We met when I was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. She is the owner of American Oil Changers which is an Atlanta based mobile oil changing company. This video gives more insight on what to expect when booking services from American Oil Changers. During our interview, Renee gave a piece of advice that will stick with me for a very long time. She stated that if you want to go into business for yourself, make sure you have a B.A.I.L. team-a Banker, an Attorney, Insurance, and a Lawyer. I interviewed Renee almost five years ago and published a blog about our discussion. You can read that blog post HERE. You can also follow Renee on Instagram HERE and on Facebook HERE.

Lashonda Council-Rogers, ESQ.

Lashonda and I are both from Sumter, SC and graduated from the same high school. She is an Atlanta based personal injury attorney and the founder and owner of Council & Associates, LLC. Her practice areas include auto and motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, and child/daycare injuries. Her perspective on being educated through Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) is eye opening. She also talked about how she balances work and family life. Lashonda’s firm is recognized as one of the top personal injury firms in Atlanta. You can follow her on Instagram HERE and on Facebook HERE.

Patrice Landers

Patrice and I used to work at the same regional airline. We never flew together, but ironically, we met one morning at a Black Girls Run event. She is the owner of Juice Me Too which is an Atlanta based juicing company located in Austell, GA that also offers smoothies, detox packages, wraps, bowls, and more. I have personally tried her products and they are not only healthy for you; they are delicious! Patrice stated that to be a successful business owner, you must know every aspect of your business. You can follow her on Instagram HERE and on Facebook HERE.
